Now Hiring · Paid Crew · Columbus, Ohio
We're hiring dependable Production Assistants for a two-day shoot on an award-winning, festival-recognized short film. No film experience required. Reliability, professionalism, and a great attitude matter most.
We're hiring two paid Production Assistants, with the possibility of a third, for the Chosen shoot on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, 2026, in Columbus. These are long, full days, roughly 11 to 12 hours each, and both days are required. There may also be a short prep day before the shoot, to be confirmed. A PA is the backbone of a smooth set: the person who keeps things moving, keeps everyone supported, and helps the day run on time. Here's what you'd be doing.
Help set up at the top of each day and break down at the end. First energy in, steady energy out.
Assist the director, assistant director, and department heads with whatever the moment needs.
Help stage and move gear alongside the camera, grip, and lighting teams. Careful hands, quick feet.
Hold for quiet, keep the space clean and organized, and help cast and crew find what they need.
Handle errands, pickups, and small tasks so the shoot never has to stop and wait.
Help keep the team fed, hydrated, and taken care of across the long day.
Help wrangle cast, releases, and the little details that keep a set organized.
If you can also grab behind-the-scenes photos or short clips for our Making Chosen series, even better.
You must be 18 or older, available both full days (October 10 and 11), and dependable. On a shoot this size, one person not showing up changes everyone's day, so reliability is the whole job.
No formal application, no portal. Just email the details below and I'll be reviewing every message personally and reaching out to set up a short conversation.
